Springtime in Minnesota usually starts out snow-covered but here
in Minneapolis this year, we're seeing GREEN again much earlier than expected. In fact, there are crocuses blooming in our backyard and tulips are sending their graceful leaves upwards. The same life force that causes sprouts to wiggle underground and burst through the earth is at work in us, too. It revives us from winter hibernation and makes us come alive. We want to shed those heavy layers and feel free again, exploring our gardens, looking for signs of Spring, listening to the songbirds, seeing our neighbors. The other day I observed an indoor plant which was growing horizontally, reaching towards the sun. It hit me that when the sun is out, I feel that same magnetic pull. I want to be out there in its beautiful light and feel its life-giving energy. After all, I'm solar-powered too!
Wishing you all the delights of Spring and in the words of a Navajo blessing,
“May you walk in beauty” wherever you go.
